Devious Journal Entry

Wed Apr 29, 2009, 7:53 AM
'Twas the night before Halloween, when all through the town
Not a creature was stirring, but a man with a frown;
He was king of Halloween Town, which makes Halloween
And causes a night of fear to have it’s gleam;
Twas filled with ghouls and monsters and ghosts,
But that’s not what you’d be frightened of most;
It’s the man with the frown, not quite human himself,
But a skeleton named Jack, a corpse of his former self,
He was sick of the horror, the candy and fright,
When he suddenly found a most glorious sight!
Twas Christmas Town, in all it’s splendiferous glory,
Not in the least bit scary, or darkened or gory.
The moon on the breast of the new-fallen snow
Gave the luster of mid-day to objects below,
When, what to his wondering eyes should appear,
But a man wearing red, and with a long white beard.
Jack then got an idea, and so lively and quick,
Took souvenirs of all sorts, and left with a click.
He showed all his friends, they were really impressed
And they decided they could make this Christmas the best;
Jack hired three little kids, Lock, Shock, and Barrel
To nab Santa, so there wouldn’t be any trouble
Meanwhile, a girl, a rag doll named Sally,
Watched all of this in saddened dismay.
She knew she liked Jack, oh but what could one do?
When the one you love doesn’t even know about you?
She also was sad for Jack’s poor decisions,
But then she got an idea, and started packing provisions.
The three little tykes, after catching their bounty,
Bring Santa to Jack, whom now is quite happy.
He takes Santa’s hat, and said looking quite comely
“Now take him somewhere and please do make him comfy.”
They have an idea, though it would get them scold,
But when have kids ever done what they’re told?
They took him to Oogie Boogie, where he’d meet his demise.
But this is surely not any surprise.
For he’s an evil and thieving gambler of spirits,
And if there’s ever a death, he’d be glad to hear it.
He turned to Santa, and to him did swear:
“I’m Mr. Oogie Boogie; and you aint goin’ nowhere.”
As all of this happened, Jack was circling the globe,
Delivering macabre presents to every home.
There were living dolls and dismembered limbs,
Snakes and rats and even dead skin!
When the police, angered by his ruining of Christmas,
Shot at him a missile, and it didn’t miss.
He fell to the ground, knowing he messed up,
And he was now in a failure-like slump.
At that time, Sally had gone to rescue St. Nick,
But Oogie was smart, and she got tricked.
When suddenly, who but Jack should appear,
Christmas wouldn’t be canceled this year!
Out of his slump, he knew just what to do,
He had to save Santa and now Sally, too!
He and Oogie fought, and it was quite a duel,
But Oogie was eventually punished for being quite cruel
He defeated Oogie, and saved Sally and Claus,
And apologized for the trouble he recently caused
Santa got up, and ran off in a hurry,
And moved so fast, he caused quite a flurry.
Meanwhile, Jack realized his feelings,
For the rag doll whom had tried to help him and the season
Now on every Christmas, Jack and Sally, now married
Hear Santa Claus say, while from his sleigh he was carried
A term which could last us our whole lives:
“Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good night!”
king and queen of the misunderstood
we'll run away into the wood
we'll find our pathway to another dimension
no doubt live happily ever after not to mention
just like jack and sally we live in a world of horrors
home to a maskerade of devils and murderers
as much as we hate it its our home
so we'll just get through this on our own
in an attempt to escape from it all
we'll ruin another world and come out standing tall
we'll move the stars in the sky and destroy the world around us
to prove to them that the world is lasteless
and we are in love...
